Beautiful place to visit! Definitely less crowded than Forbidden City etc, but all the beauty you with to see. Architecture, gardens, ponds etc. Had it all. Rich history and nestled by culturally rich hutongs which are great to explore and close to Houhai Lakes area as well. Definitely add it to your list!
This is a great mix of the Forbidden City and Yuanmingyuan Park on a smaller scale with fewer tourists overall. It is not nearly as grand as the Forbidden City or Yuanmingyuan, but it is a great mixture of the two. Don't expect great English translations of Prince Kung's Mansion, be prepared to do research later on your own.
The Forbidden City in miniature version. Easier to visit, just as beautiful as his "big brother", and unfortunately just as busy. So make sure you get there early if you want to look around at leisure, because it is really worth a visit.
Nice place to walk around to explore and discover the lifestyle of locals in Beijing.
Beautiful gardens. Amazing architecture. Lots of shady places to sit.
This is a place you will want to spent your time if you are next to Shi Cha Hai street. Do spent sometime in the garden and try to relax yourself. Somehow you will forget you are in the middle of the Beijing city.
A market with more locals than tourist. Prices aren't that expensive and really nice view.
