This place is great place to see more about the origins of Confucius. This temple is very popular among the people who are in school and who wish to pass their exams. Its a form of respect that everyone of any age comes to. It does feel a bit like a museum temple but it still a great place to come visit, especially when in Nanjing. I came in June and again in October and the difference is night and day. They're open until 6pm but will extend their hours during special holidays because a lot of Chinese come and visit the temple. This temple is also at the epicenter of the Nanjing Boardwalk that has lots of things to do for shopping and eating and also sight seeing.

Slightly overcrowded. Nevertheless, it is quite an interesting place to checkout. The light show is nice and do not forget to light some incense.

The Nanjing Confucius Temple has so much to see and is beautiful! An old town with so many little shops, you're sure to find great souvenirs and good food as well. The temple scenic area has a lot of art shops and beautiful traditional buildings.

Among all the superb museums in Nanjing, this one is my favourite. Details in the entire history of "Examinations" in China. Be amazing when you decent into the history!

One of the best tourist attractions. The temple is so beautiful in the night. Area is well know for the shopping, River Cruise and also street food . A must visit for those who are visiting Nanjing. Evenings will get crowded but it is worth a visit. Metro station is very near to the south gate and convenient for commuting.

Probably one of the best attractions in Nanjing. Easily accessible by train, and has many food and drink options. Night views are the best way to see this scenic area. It does get crowded sometimes but the area is large enough to accommodate everyone. I would not recommend entering the individual temples but just walking around to get a feel of the entire place.
