Palette Pictures focuses on bringing together Hollywood and Chinese filmmaking resources to develop, produce and finance Hollywood-style Chinese genre films and web TV series. In 2013, Palette partnered with Gehua Culture Group, Beijing's cable company, to finance the feature film, Day of Redemption (早见晚爱). The film was directed by Lawrence Lau (Lee Rock series, starring Andy Lau, and Queen of Temple Street) and starred Zhou Yumin (aka Zai Zai, a member of the hugely popular Taiwanese group F4). It was theatrically released in mainland China nationwide. Its online release on Tencent Video, a major Chinese video portal, received over 12 million clicks in the first week. 2013 also saw Palette's works gaining recognition, including the Elder Yao's Beijing in the Heavy Rain short film series and Flavor in the Bright Lights short film series, which won the "Best Film" and "Audience's Favorites" award at the Chinese International Short film Gala and the Best Short Film award at the Beijing International Short Film Festival. In 2014, Palette has developed and is co-presenting the web TV series, The Substitute, with iQIYI, the largest web TV portal in China. The series is the first web TV genre series in China and also the first one that aims to combine the skills and visions of Chinese and American filmmakers. 千色映画诞生于美国洛杉矶，由第一位获得美国加州艺术学院制片硕士学位的华人白羽创立，专注于引进好莱坞人才和资源，开发、制作和投资类型片式的中国电影，以及为互联网、移动互联网量身订造的类型清晰的新媒体电影和网剧。 2013年暑期千色映画和北京歌华文化集团共同投资、制作的商战爱情电影《早见，晚爱》并被CCTV新闻联播进行推荐。于7月19日登陆全国院线，获得了良好的口碑和业界的广泛认可。本片由执导过《我要成名》《庙街皇后》等著名影片的香港导演刘国昌先生执导，《疯狂的石头》、《疯狂的赛车》的摄影师杜杰担任摄影指导，台湾著名影星周渝民（仔仔）、内地著名演员童瑶和“相声小王子”曹云金等主演，在业界获得了良好的口碑。该片在腾讯视频上线后仅一周即获得超过1200万点击量。 同年，千色映画策划、制作的微电影系列屡获殊荣，《大雨》之《老姚的北京》获北京国际微电影节“最佳影片奖”，并在首届中国微电影大典17000部参赛作品中脱颖而出，获得“最佳微电影宣传片奖”；《人在北京》之《味道》获第二届中国国际微电影大典“最佳网络人气奖”。 2014年，千色映画策划、与爱奇艺联合出品的《替身》，力邀中美资深电影人加盟，以好莱坞的叙事方式打造中国首部商业谍战网络剧，于2015年上线。
